In an effort to allay concerned fans and dispel spreading false information, the explanation was provided in a thorough Instagram story posted on her official account.

After a week of intense internet suspense, in which multiple posts mistakenly claimed that Parveen was gravely ill, the team's message finally arrived.
The musician was allegedly fighting cancer and had been refused free medical care by a hospital, according to some unconfirmed sources.
Her management was disappointed by how quickly the rumours circulated, and they specifically criticised reputable media sites for disseminating unverified material.
