According to Nicola Sturgeon, Political factors influenced Covid decisions.

Nicola Sturgeon has refuted claims that she made decisions related to the Covid epidemic in order to advance Scottish independence.

The former first minister acknowledged that she erased all of her WhatsApp messages during the outbreak, but she denied leading a culture of concealment.

However, she said that the UK Covid Inquiry had received all "relevant" evidence.

This was Ms. Sturgeon testifying before the Edinburgh inquiry.

When asked if she could "guarantee to the bereaved families that you will disclose emails, WhatsApps, private emails if you've been using them," Ms. Sturgeon was questioned in August 2021 by Channel 4 News. Whatever. that nothing in this investigation will be off-limits?

The inquiry concerned Scottish Covid, which is being held independently of the UK-wide Covid.

In response, she had stated at the time: "You would know that even if I wasn't prepared to offer that assurance, which I am for the avoidance of doubt, then I wouldn't have the ability if you understood statutory public inquiries. This statutory inquiry will be headed by a judge."

However, Jamie Dawson KC has informed the UK inquiry that Ms. Sturgeon didn't seem to have any unofficial correspondence related to her handling of the outbreak.
