Persistent PTI and Jamaat Protests in Karachi Allege Election Rigging

 

KARACHI:

 The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Jamaat-i-Islami promised to keep fighting for their "stolen" constituencies in Karachi and carried on with their protests against "rigging" in the general elections on February 8.

A day after staging a combined protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan Sindh headquarters, the parties once again organised separate protests.

While the PTI persisted in its protest outside the ECP provincial offices, the JI opted to hold sit-ins at eight separate strategic locations throughout the city.

At Hasan Square, Water Pump, Star Gate, Quaidabad, UP Mor, Nazimabad No7, Korangi 2½, and Orangi Town No5, the JI organised rallies.
