Until the Taliban cease aiding terrorists, Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq will continue

Pakistan’s ongoing Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq — translated as “Righteous Fury” — is set to continue until the Afghan Taliban halt what Islamabad terms “support for terrorist groups” operating from Afghan soil against Pakistan, senior Pakistani officials have declared.

The offensive was launched after a series of what Pakistan described as unprovoked cross-border attacks by Afghan Taliban forces along the Durand Line, the de facto border between the two countries. Pakistani military leadership says these attacks were coupled with support and shelter for militants, including members of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other outlawed groups, prompting a decisive military response.

According to official statements, Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq has involved coordinated air and ground strikes targeting Taliban positions across multiple provinces inside Afghanistan, including Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia and Nangarhar. Defence sources report hundreds of Afghan Taliban fighters killed, dozens of enemy outposts destroyed, and several strategic positions captured by Pakistani forces since the offensive began.

Officials have emphasised that the campaign will continue “until all objectives are achieved,” with Islamabad demanding “verifiable assurances” from the Taliban regime that it will end support for terrorist networks planning and executing attacks against Pakistan.

Pakistan’s government also states that the operation seeks to protect its citizens and territorial integrity in accordance with its right to self-defence.

The situation remains tense, with diplomatic efforts and calls for de-escalation growing regionally, but Islamabad insists its military action will not relent until the Taliban cut off their backing of extremist groups.
